On September 3, 1939, France and the United Kingdom declared war on Nazi Germany, the beginning of 9 months of a strange status quo before Hitler's offensive on Western Europe comes to end this "Phoney War". Combining string quartet and electronic elements, the original music of Alice Guerlot Kourouklis accompanies with sensitivity and refinement the documentary film of Cédric Gruat, accentuating the tragic uncertainty of this long wait which irremediably led to the drama of the Second World War.
