Séquences Inquiètes - Denis STREIBIG
Restless Sequences is a suite of concrete music that goes out of its way to create connections between disparate worlds : coupling a love of electronic material with aesthetic of "fixed sound", dovetailing Pop spontaneity with sound objects fixed in space and time, tying social concerns to a desire for elitism, and making references to photography, cinema, and abstraction; all marks of a disquiet that seeks to resolve these contradictions through the intermediary of the "sound editing studio".
